Our team was ecstatic when we took a field trip to the New England Aquarium. The purpose of the trip was to immerse ourselves in the underwater world for inspiration in our designs for the website.
We began our journey at the interactive shark and stingray exhibit where we got to touch the animals. Then we made our way around the exhibits, taking note of how each body of water in the world has it’s own specific set of marine life that lives there. As design students, we were mesmerized by the myriad of colors around us.
The largest exhibit was the Giant Ocean Tank, a cylinder at the center of the aquarium that represents an Atlantic coral reef. It contained over two thousand animals! It was amazing to watch the variety of fishes interact between the many species.
We had so much fun on this trip!
