Cultural Patterns Done!

Major 1’s are done with their cultural patterns.  They’re such a great, fun team, and the patterns are absolutely amazing.

In an interview with Emily from Major 1, she said that she really liked making the patterns in Adobe Illustrator.  She said that her pattern specifically required a lot of math and careful calculating to making the patterns “come full circle” and making the shapes fit.  She thought that working on the quilt’s patterns was challenging but overall satisfying, and they’re beautiful and definitely worth the effort.

Also from Major 1, Parisa agreed that it was really fun and enjoyed working on something different from the curriculum.  She liked that every person got assigned to a country and was able to really get used to and “get to know” their own pattern.  Some difficulties she ran into was that the image quality was not the best and sometimes there were difficult shapes, but the process was “overall smooth.”
