McCarran Airport Butterflies

Stu Schechter sent us a segment of a video, made by the McCarron International Airport in Las Vegas, which talked about his public art project: butterflies in the airport. 

He talked about the Design class’ contribution to the project, such as researching and mapping out the entire layout of the public art piece.  The design consists of over 2,000 butterflies suspended from the ceiling, and they form an airplane when looking at it from afar.
