After school on Friday, Paroma and Lauren met with Chris Haid of New Valence Robotics to discuss the 3-D printing of our scaled down Pedestrian Alert System. It was great to finally speak with Chris in person and the meeting was both enjoyable and productive.
New Valence Robotics is a 3-D printing company based in Boston, MA. For more information, check out their website at www.nvbots.com. For our project, they have generously donated their time to print for us a model of our invention scaled down to 45%. It will be made out of PLA plastic, which Chris has told us will warp less in the printing process. To create the model, Chris will print the invention in segments six inches tall and then attach them together.
NV Bots has been so helpful throughout this whole process and we really look forward to working with Chris!
