Today, the team got the chance to tour to MIT campus. We visited the Wheels & Legs exhibit at the Jereome Lemelson Center of Innovation and took a guided tour of the on-campus art. The team got the chance to learn about MIT’s percent art program, which dedicates 1% of each building’s funds to public art. They also heard from $500,000 prize grant winner Angela Belcher.
During the evening, the 16 InvenTeams showcased their inventions for the public at the Stata Center at MIT. Parents, mentors, family members, and various public visitors could come view and experience the working prototypes. The team did a wonderful job presenting to the viewers and even completed filmed and recorded interviews. It was a great chance to show off all the team’s hard work!
