In September we began our school year by finishing a mural project that was started by last years Major 3 students. This gave us an opportunity to bond as a team. We eagerly continued the can project, finding its message of environmental friendliness especially pertinent to our project. At the completion of the project, we had used 1375 cans!
The cans were collected, washed, crushed and hammered down by previous and current Design and Visual Communications students. They were assembled into a collage on 13 pieces of canvas. On their own they were trash to most, but after hours of sorting them by style and design, we were able to finish the beautiful mural that now hangs outside of our classroom.
